We spend 90% of our time indoors, and countless studies have shown that air quality is essential to keeping people alert and healthy.

A good supply of fresh air from a commercial or industrial air ventilation system not only boosts productivity, but can also improve a company's bottom line. It prevents health problems and helps people feel energised and creative. Every ventilation system 361 Degrees designs and installs is optimised to provide the ideal climate. Our expert consultants will help you select from a range of environmentally-friendly options based on your specific needs and requirements.

Inadequate ventilation can lead to smells and odours as well as health risks such as headaches and nausea. The annual cost of sickness absence in the UK is nearly £30 billion, so companies can’t afford to ignore the importance of helping staff stay healthy. We work with businesses, schools, healthcare and other commercial organisations to create unique ventilation solutions, often combined with heating and/or air conditioning systems.

In the event of a breakdown, their team of expert engineers are fully trained to diagnose and repair all types of commercial ventilation systems, so your occupants won’t be at risk of exposure to poor quality air.

Avoiding Sick Building Syndrome

Sick Building Syndrome, or SBS, refers to various problems that come from spending time in buildings with environmental problems. It can be caused by poor ventilation, changes in temperature and particles in the air. Symptoms of Sick Building Syndrome include headaches, fatigue, itching, aches and pains, and runny noses.

The Health and Safety Executive emphasises the importance of air quality in its recommendations for minimising the risk of SBS, stating air should be of suitable quality and in sufficient quantity to:

  • create and maintain a healthy and comfortable environment, i.e. provide fresh air;
  • dilute and remove airborne impurities and pollutants, e.g. odours, tobacco smoke, fumes and dusts;
  • create and maintain a comfortable temperature and humidity;
  • prevent stagnation and draughts.

A well-designed, properly installed and regularly maintained commercial or industrial air ventilation system can make a huge difference to an office, school or healthcare environment, so click below to contact the 361 Degrees team to discuss how we can help you create the right conditions.
